Emergency Stop Switch
CAUTION
The Emergency Stop Switch is intended for use in emergencies only.
Do NOT use the Emergency Stop to power down the unit under normal operating circumstances, as this action will result in equipment damage.
Always follow the proper shutdown sequence as described in Shutdown.
An Emergency Stop (E-Stop) switch is located
Refer to Generator Control Panel Detail for location.
When the Emergency Stop Switch is pushed:
- Power is disconnected from the engine ECM, which stops the engine
- The contactor is disconnected, which disables all electrical outputs
The switch remains engaged until it is pulled out.
If the Emergency Stop must be used, and the engine can be safely restarted, all systems should shut down under normal conditions to ensure proper function.
